Most runs partnership in IPL history was set by Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers against Gujarat Lions in the 2016 IPL. RCB duo put together a record-breaking 229 runs over 18 overs, this is still regarded as one of the most memorable partnership performances in IPL history and also the second RCB highest score in IPL.
The record was set when Virat Kohli stepped out to bat with AB de Villiers in the 11th over of the game. Over the next 18 overs, the pair took the Gujarat Lion’s bowling attack to task and set a new record for the highest partnership in IPL history.
